Are you a certified electronics recycler? Why is this important?

American Recycling is certified by R2 (Responsible Recycling), ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 which are audited by an independent Certifying Body to ensure full compliance. These are critically important certifications for any e-waste recycler to ensure that none of your electronics end up in the landfill and are recycled responsibly at the end of life.

Do you provide any documentation to prove that you have successfully wiped or destroyed the data?

American Recycling provides Certificate of E-Waste Recycling (CEWR) after each pickup to our customers, and upon special requests, we provide a Certificate of Destruction (COD) for sanitization and destruction of data containing devices with a fee.

Most items dropped off by the public can be recycled for free. However, some fees do apply to items that are more challenging to recycle (such as televisions and larger appliances). Please refer to our Disposal Fees for details.

Within the Lincoln, NE area we can often make arrangements for a residential pick-up for a fee (typically $25). Keep in mind that depending on what types of items you want to recycle, there may be additional fees for those as well.
